ALTTRAN is pleased to welcome Jonathon to the team as a Manufacturing Engineer.
Jonathon is a Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) and completed mechanical engineering coursework at San Diego Mesa College. He also holds certifications in additive manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma as a Green Belt.
He brings nine years of mechanical design experience, most recently serving as Lead Mechanical Designer for an industrial water systems integrator. In that role, Jonathon took projects from customer specifications through released 3D models and 2D drawings for in-house manufacturing. His previous experience also includes industrial additive manufacturing, reverse engineering, and design work across the automotive, munitions, and defense industries.
At ALTTRAN, Jonathon oversees preventive and emergency maintenance for equipment while also leading process improvements across production lines. His focus is on maximizing equipment uptime, identifying potential issues before they become costly breakdowns, and strengthening ALTTRAN’s preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Jonathon’s professional interests include advanced manufacturing, material science, and data-driven maintenance strategies that improve reliability and efficiency. He was also awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for his contributions to additive manufacturing.
